Continental Reifen Deutschland GmbH is making available the mobile application TireTech. The app enables the display of Continental Reifen Deutschland GmbH technical product data of truck, bus, multi-purpose (MPT) and agricultural tires, as well as the usage of non-binding Load-Pressure- and Lead-Calculators. Additionally, the contact form allows to get in touch with a Continental representative.

Continental Reifen Deutschland GmbH processes your data in the context of your use of the TireTech App in compliance with the applicable legal regulations.

§ 1
Scope

Personal data entered by you is collected, processed and used by Continental Reifen Deutschland GmbH for the purpose of contract execution within the framework of your use of the application. Insofar as this is necessary for the execution of the contract, the data may be passed on to the companies affiliated with Continental Reifen Deutschland GmbH pursu-ant to sections 15 et seqq. of the German Stock Corporation Act as stipulated in the Binding Corporate Rules of Continental.
If permitted and/or prescribed by law, the data may be evaluated for reporting purposes (e.g., statistics).
Your data will be collected, processed and used solely in compliance with the applicable data protection regulations (e.g., your consent).
In ensuring the provision of the app (e.g., technical support), we transmit data to our service provider, Toygardens Media, Voßstraße 12, 30161 Hannover, Deutschland. Toygardens Media collects and processes your personal data on our behalf insofar as this is necessary to execute the contract.

In accordance with the statutory provisions, all your data is treated as strictly confidential.

Collection, Processing and Use of Data in the TireTech

Continental Continental Reifen Deutschland GmbH only stores personal data relating to users of its Agriculture TireTech if consent for this has been provided. The only data that is stored relates to the date and time of the use of the app, the pages visited, the page functions used. Continental Continental Reifen Deutschland GmbH uses this information to measure app activity, to produce statistics to improve the services and information provided via the app.

Personal user data is solely used to process inquiries within the context of the consent granted or in compliance with applicable data protection regulations. Based on legal requirements, Continental has enforced global, uniform and internal Data Protection Rules (Binding Corporate Rules) regulating the protection of your personal data.

For this reason, we would like to point out that, with regard to data transmission over the Internet (e.g., by e-mail), secure trans-fer cannot be guaranteed. Sensitive data should therefore either not be transmitted at all or only via a secure connection (SSL). If you access pages and files and are then asked to enter personal data, please note that the transmission of such data via the Internet may not be secure and that there is a risk that it may be viewed and manipulated by unauthorized persons.

Closing Provisions

Continental reserves the right to change or amend these Data Protection Declaration in the interests of the TireTech app at any time with effect for the future, provided that such changes are not unreasonable for the user. This shall be the case in particular if the changes do not involve any substantial detriment to the user, e.g. with changes in contact information, the commencement of additional services or any similar matters.

In each case of intended change to these Data Protection Declaration Continental Reifen Deutschland GmbH shall give reasonable notice to the User of at least 30 days prior to any change coming into force. Such notification shall take place via email to the email address provided by the User upon registration or via pop-up window in case a registration was not required.

The User has to give his consent to the changed Data Protection Declaration to continuing the use of Agriculture-TireTech by ticking the respective opt-in box of the pop-up window or trough renewed logging in.
